TopSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. The goal of the program is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family. - https://www.fysa.com/topsoccer/
When will this take place...
This is the million dollar question. We would like to host this event in the next few months but that depends on our Volunteers. To make this program successful, we need volunteers. This event can be during the week after school or on a weekend, depending on the availability of our volunteers. This event will be a 4 week event, 1 day a week (looking at Friday Nights under the lights). If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering please submit your contact information here.
CCSF is asking for volunteers who are looking to help these young athletes enjoy the game of soccer. Volunteers do not need to know anything about the game of soccer; we need you as their Buddy. Each Buddy will accompany a child or two throughout the event to enjoy the games of soccer and be there for them. We will also host a training seminar for anyone who agrees to coach or be a buddy, For those that are part of Highschool, these volunteer hours would count towards the volunteer time needed to graduate while helping a child's dream of playing soccer come true.
Our Top Soccer training seminar has been scheduled for 6/11/22 @9:30am. We will be at the Centennial Park location. Our training will start at the Rec Center and then migrate to the soccer fields.
